For the first Storytime of summer, we read about ladybugs. We read Eric Carle's
The Grouchy Ladybug about an impolite and rude ladybug who thought she was better than anyone else. In
Ladybug, Ladybug, Where Are You? by Cyndy Szekeres we found the ladybug hidden on each page. And
Ladybug Girl at the Beach by David Soman told about the bravery of one of our favorite heroes when she was faced with the fear of the ocean.
Next, we crafted ladybugs of our own. Some of us chose to make them from paper plates with wings that opened and closed. Others chose to make three dimensional ladybugs from paper circles.
And some of us chose - dinosaurs!
