Fall for All!

Red and yellow, orange and brown,
All the leaves are falling down.
Days are nippy, nights are clear,
Summer's over - autumn's here!

The theme of Storytime this week was leaves and fall. We read Leaf Man and Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf, both beautiful books by Lois Ehlert. We read Mouse's First Fall by Lauren Thompson, about Mouse and his friend Minka playing in the autumn leaves. It was fun trying to spot Minka's tail in the piles of leaves!

Next, we made our own fall tree. We pasted a trunk and three branches, then covered the tree (and some covered the ground) with colorful torn paper "leaves".

And here they are! 

This clever young patron even made the woods! Beautiful!
